Prescott Considers Sewer Rate Increase

When the Prescott City Council meets on Monday, October 28th, the Council will consider a recommendation from Public Works to authorize a Sewer Rate increase of 5%, starting in 2020. At a Finance Committee meeting on October 16th, Water and Sewer Superintendent Dennis Eaton reported, that the rate increase would be used to help defray costs of replacing sensors in the treatment plant, and that water, sewer, and storm funds will be needed for the 2020 Street Project. The Council will also consider a $1 per resident per quarter increase in the stormwater fee.
