The Hastings Raiders Marching Band was awarded First Place in Class AA at the Youth in Music State Marching Band competition, held at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday. The band also received the awards of Outstanding Visual Effects, Outstanding Percussion and Outstanding Winds for their program “The Web We Weave”. This is the fifth State title for the Raiders and their first in Class AA. The band is under the direction of Emily Chandler and assisted by Tom Wentzler, Josh Walhstrom, Grace Bauer and Drum Major Jack Raway.
