The Hunger Prevention Council of Pierce County, Inc. has organized a GoFundMe campaign in support of Pierce County Food Pantries. According to the page, the Food Pantries aren’t able to take food donations right now because of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of their biggest donation events of the year, the United States Postal Worker Food Drive, has been postponed indefinitely. All money raised in the Pierce County Virtual Food Drive will go directly to the Food Pantries in Ellsworth, Elmwood, Plum City, Prescott, River Falls and Spring Valley, through the Hunger Prevention Council of Pierce County.
