Catholic churches in the KDWA listening area are being asked by the Diocese to wait one more day to start offering public mass again. A letter sent to parish leadership by Archbishop Bernard Hebda states that an Executive Order Governor Walz issued on Tuesday, May 26th, allows faith communities to accommodate up to 250 people for worship services, provided precautions are taken to protect public health. Hebda also stated that Governor Walz and his administration are trusting that when faith communities gather, they will do so consistent with public health guidance. Archbishop Hebda assures that the guidelines will be followed, and public mass will resume on Wednesday, May 27th.
