In response to the tragic events occurring in the Twin Cities in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd, Hastings Chief of Police Bryan Schafer issued a statement to the residents of Hastings. The statement, posted to social media said, in part, that the Hastings Police Department lives and breathes the motto of “Pride in Service”. Chief Schafer provided a comment to KDWA regarding the training HPD receives for such situations.
He also applauded the relationship his department has with the community.
The HPD remains committed to providing fair and impartial service to all of the city?s residents and visitors.
