The Hastings City Council meets virtually for regular business on Monday, June 15th, at 7 PM. After the call to order, pledge of allegiance, roll call, and determination of quorum, the Council consider approval of the minutes of previous meetings, and hear comments from the public. After any Council items to be considered, the Council will vote on the Consent Agenda, containing routine items for action by a single vote. Under awarding of contracts and public hearings, the Council will deliberate awarding of a contract for water quality improvements on East 21st Street, and conduct public hearings to vacate an alley in Block 134 of Hastings, and Sidewalk Cafe Requests and Extensions of Sidewalk Cafes. Under Reports from City Staff, Public Works will request approval of a cooperative agreement, easement, and long term stormwater Best Management Practices maintenance agreement with Cemstone for the E 21st Street Water Quality Improvements Project. Community Development will present the resolution to vacate the Alley in Block 134, a resolution for a special use permit for use of the roof by Spiral Brewery, to include a liquor license extension, and a report on Sidewalk Cafe License and Sidewalk Cafe Extensions. City Administration will present the 2019 Comprehensive Financial Report for approval, a proposal for a City Council workshop on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, a pandemic preparedness plan, and an update on Financial Impacts of COVID-19. The Council will then consider any new or unfinished business, and open the floor for reports from other City Committees, officers, or council members. When all of the agenda items have been considered, the meeting will adjourn. The next regular meeting of the Hastings City Council is set for Monday, July 6th, at 7 PM.
