Two Charged In Attack On County Building

Federal authorities accuse two men of throwing Molotov cocktails into a Dakota County government building. Garrett Patrick Ziegler, 24, of Long Lake, and Fornandous Cortez Henderson, 32, of Savage, have both been charged with arson and possession of Molotov cocktails. After Ziegler and Henderson were arrested in the wake of the May 29th attack on the County Building in Apple Valley, investigators obtained a warrant to search a vehicle registered to Ziegler, and found materials used in the fabrication of Molotov cocktails, bandannas, and other items. Ziegler and Henderson made their initial appearance Tuesday, according to a news release. They were ordered to remain in custody pending a formal detention hearing, which is scheduled for Thursday.
