Strong storms passed through the northern portion of Pierce County on Saturday night, in the area of Kinnickinnic State Park, and area eastwards. Pierce County Emergency Management Director Christine McPherson commented on the county response to the storm.
The county is waiting on a final determination from the National Weather Service on the classification of the storm.
