Through a news tip, KDWA has been informed that Brian Kopperud, the Director of Dakota County Corrections, passed away suddenly, after finishing a Zoom meeting with County staff, on the evening of August 19th. Sources at the County have confirmed that Kopperud did pass away, but are not releasing any further information at this time. Stay tuned to KDWA for updates on this unfolding story.
