On Saturday, August 15th at about 4:45 PM, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single motorcycle crash with injuries on State Road 35 near County Road QQ in Oak Grove Township. According to a PCSO press release, a 1999 Harley Davidson driven by Jay Fischer, 49 years old of Fridley, and passenger Maren Koscielski, 49 years old of Minnetonka, were traveling northbound on State Road 35 near County Road QQ, when Fischer lost control of the motorcycle while negotiating a curve and entered the east ditch. Koscielski was pronounced deceased at the scene, and Fischer was transported from the scene by Life Link III Helicopter to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, with undetermined injuries. The PCSO was assisted on scene by the Prescott Police and Fire Departments, River Falls Area Ambulance Service and Wisconsin State Patrol. This crash remains under investigation.
