The ISD 200 Courtesy Bus program has been reinstated for the upcoming school year with modifications due to COVID-19. According to a letter sent to District families, the District has been working with the Hastings Bus Company and they are now confident they can provide this service, in the modified format, while following the safety protocols required for school bus transportation. One of the main modifications is students must register for the service to prevent overloading buses. Another change is that times will be determined to comply with building hours, and to ensure that students are not arriving at buildings too early or waiting at buildings at the end of the day. The times have yet to be determined. District staff state that families will need to review the Courtesy Bus Route map before registering a student, as you will be asked to identify the bus stop number on the registration form. If a student is not registered, they will not be able to ride the courtesy bus. The deadline to register is Friday, August 21st. A link to the Route map and registration link is provided here.
