The City of Rosemount has been nominated for a Leaders in Local Government Award by a collection of East Metro area chambers of commerce. According to a post on social media by Dakota County Commissioner Joe Atkins, Rosemount is vying for the top award in the Business Retention and Expansion category. In a statement, Atkins said that Rosemount’s Community Development team put additional focus on increasing local jobs, increasing tax base, and expanding services. Despite the added challenges of the pandemic, they have worked to support local business, develop pride in the community, and increase awareness of resources and needs through improved communication and outreach.
