Kyle and Jolene Knutson, the owners of the Smokin’ Oak Rotisserie and Grill, in Red Wing, have announced they have purchased the old Frandsen Bank and Trust Building on Vermillion Street in Hastings, and will be opening the Smokin’ Oak Express. The eatery is touted as having the same style of cooking as the Red Wing establishment, with more of a fast, casual setting, also with a drive-thru. The Knutsons hope to have the new restaurant open by the end of the year.
