The Prescott Planning Commission recently heard a report from the Director of Freedom Park, Israel Haas, who gave an update to Freedom Park’s plan to expand the trail system in Prescott. According to meeting minutes of the Monday March 1 meeting, there were discussions on reviewing new plats to look at possible areas for trails which can connect up with other trails. Haas reviewed the partners who are helping with the planning of the trails. The National Park Service has allowed several employees to help work on the implementing of the plan. Israel stated they would like to have a master plan created and approved by municipalities, private landowners and other participating entities within 18 months.
