MnDOT has announced a new study has begun on Hwy 3 between Rosemount and Farmington. The purpose of this study is to evaluate Hwy 3 from 160th St. in Rosemount to 2nd St. in Farmington in order to identify possible improvements to increase safety on Hwy 3 for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. MnDOT is seeking public feedback that will take into consideration how the highway works in the regional road network, the planned growth of the community, and the need for an adequate supporting road network to support development. This study continues through December. According to a press release, to help prevent further spread of COVID-19, MnDOT is not hosting any in-person public meetings at this time. Virtual meetings will provide participants an opportunity to meet with study staff, listen to a presentation on the project process and as k questions. A link to sign up for email updates on the project is provided here.
