Hastings Public Schools will soon begin a Strategic Planning process, with the School Board’s unanimous support. Parents, staff, students, and community members will all have a voice and role to play in the process through surveys, focus groups, and other engagement opportunities. According to sources, the Bridge to Learning Strategic Plan will help the district identify what’s working well, what needs improvement, and how to ensure the District is providing the kinds of experiences students need and want on their educational journey. When the planning process is complete, the District will have a clear and unified vision, a “road map” on how they will bring about those desired outcomes, and what the core values are. It will touch every level of our district, from the classroom to the board room. ISD 200 will keep parents, staff, and community members informed as the process unfolds. This Strategic Planning process is being coordinated by TeamWorks, International, a respected firm that helps school districts with educational leadership, planning, and decision-making.
