Hastings veteran advocate Dean Markuson has reported that a shipment of popcorn from Ptacek’s IGA in Prescott has reached the 34th Military Police Company of the MN National Guard, currently on operations away from Minnesota. Pat Ptacek explains.
According to an email received by Markuson from SFC Beth Dedic with the 34th, the soldiers couldn’t get the bags fast enough, and Dedic said she was “fairly certain that they have created a new 3 flavor mixture of the variations sent”. The shipment from Ptacek’s has been named “Operation Popcorn Distribution” by the unit, and the generosity and support is being enjoyed at all of the assigned duty points as well as the common areas on base.
