The Prescott K9 Foundation has reported that they are withing $23,000 of reaching a $70,000 goal to have a police dog brought on to the Prescott Police Force. According to a post on social media, the BNSF Railway Foundation has committed a $10,000 donation. The K9 Foundation seeks to raise the $70,000 to cover the expenses of a K9 Unit Vehicle at $38,000, Squad Equipment at $12,450, the K9 Officer, at $8,500, and training for the Officer and Handler, at $4,500.
