On Monday, Dakota County, in cooperation with the City of Rosemount, began the installation of a traffic signal with overhead lighting at the intersection of County Road 42 and Akron Avenue (County Road 73 to the north). According to the County, the project includes widening Akron Avenue south of County Road 42 to align the roadway with the north side of Akron Avenue as well as median changes along County Road 42 from east of Akron Avenue to Audrey Avenue. These median changes will include three-quarter turns at the two Dakota County Technical College entrances. The project is expected to be complete by October. Any questions or comments concerning this or any highway projects, email the Dakota County Transportation Department or call 952-891-7900.
