The Farmington Fire Department has taken possession of a new ladder truck for the Department. According to a post on social media, the new truck, designated “Ladder 1”, will be replacing a fire engine that is over 28 years old. Ladder 1 has all the capabilities of the engine it replaces with added features like modern technology, advanced safety systems, and of course the aerial ladder on top. Ladder 1 will be housed at Fire Station 1. Before it starts responding to calls, all the equipment will be mounted and all of the firefighters will be trained. The FFD expressed thanks to the Farmington City Council and city staff for their support in making this first of its kind apparatus for Farmington a reality.
