On Monday, July 5th at approximately 5:45 PM, Rosemount Police Officers assisted the State Patrol and the Rosemount Fire Department with a vehicle fire that resulted in a road closure. A trailer on southbound U. S. Highway 52 caught fire just north of MN Highway 55. According to a post on social media, in a matter of minutes the fire spread to the median. There were no reports of injury in the incident, and the Rosemount Police Department thanked the Rosemount Fire Department for quickly responding and extinguishing the fire. Department officials remind motorists that the hot, dry weather has created fire hazards state wide.
