The City of Hastings recently recognized Public Works employee Gary Ruedy for 29 years of service to Hastings. According to the City Newsletter, Ruedy started with the City in 1992 and has served on the operations and maintenance force for the last 29 years sweeping streets, spraying patches, filling pot holes, plowing snow and putting in a lot of work with the sign maintenance and replacement program. When he’s not at work, Gary shoots pool in leagues and tournaments and enjoys golfing.
