Several residents of the Hastings area reported a power outage that affected a significant area of downtown Hastings and areas outside of town late Saturday evening. Some people reported an accident involving a vehicle striking a transformer placement on Highway 61 between Highway 10 and 120th Street in Cottage Grove may have been the cause of the outage. Lt. Power was out until about 2:30 AM.
