At a meeting on Tuesday evening, Hastings Police Chief Bryan Schafer made the official announcement of his retirement to the Department. Deputy Chief David Wilske was in attendance at the event.
Schafer has been Chief of Hastings Police for over 8 years and retires after a 39-year career.
