Assistance Available For Students In Need

Students in ISD 200 whose families are having financial difficulties, or who do not have access to a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence might be eligible for assistance under the McKinney Vento Act, which provides rights and services to children and unaccompanied youth experiencing a housing crisis, homelessness, or housing insecurity. One of the priorities of the act is the provision of transportation services to allow students experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness to remain in their school of origin, which is defined as the school that the student attended when they first experienced the housing crisis. For more information contact the ISD 200 District Family Resource Coordinator and McKinney Vento Liaison, Molly Cirillo by email at MCirillo@ISD200.org, or by calling 651-480-7069.
