The Hastings City Council meets for regular business on Tuesday evening. After the call to order, Pledge of Allegiance, roll call, and determination of quorum, the Council will make a proclamation declaring to drive out hunger during MN Foodshare for Hastings Family Service. Next, the Council consider approval of the minutes of previous meetings, and hear comments from the public. After any Council items to be considered, the Council will vote on the Consent Agenda, containing routine items for action by a single vote. Under the Heading of Awarding of Contracts and Public Hearings, the Council will conduct hearings to establish a Tax Increment Financing District in support of NJS Development, and for CIP Bonds planned for a Public Works facility. The Council will then consider awarding a contract for reconditioning the 4th Street water tower. Under the Heading of Reports from City Staff, Community Development will present a resolution to approve a special use permit for an auto repair business on Millard Avenue in the Hastings Industrial Park. The Council will then consider any new or unfinished business, and open the floor for reports from other City Committees, officers, or council members. When all of the agenda items have been considered, the meeting will adjourn. The next regular meeting of the Hastings City Council is set for Monday, March 7th, at 7 PM. Meeting access information is available on the City website at HastingsMN.gov.
