The Enclave Companies presented a request for rezoning, Preliminary and Final Plats, and a Site Plan for a proposed apartment development in the 300 block of 33rd St West at the Hastings Planning Commission meeting on Monday evening. City Planner Justin Fortney provided a summary of the request.
A public hearing opened with three individuals providing comment on the existing stormwater pond, access and loading for Terry’s Hardware, and public notification. Commissioners discussed access to Highway 61, and loading access for Terry’s Hardware. Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of all actions adding a condition to the Site Plan directing Enclave to work with Terry’s on access issues. The City Council will consider a 1st reading of the rezoning on February 22nd, with final action scheduled for March 7th.
