Hastings resident Shane Hudella announced on Monday that he will run for the Minnesota House in the new District 41B, which includes the city of Hastings, parts of Cottage Grove, as well as Nininger and Denmark Townships. Hudella is a decorated Veteran of the Minnesota Army National Guard, having served 24 years including a deployment to the Persian Gulf as part of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He retired in 2012 at the rank of First Sergeant. Hudella is also the President & Founder of United Heroes League, a non-profit that has helped more than 100,000 military families and has raised and donated more than $20 million in benefits to help military kids participate in youth sports. Hudella is a lifelong Hastings resident and 1989 graduate of Hastings High School. He and his wife Jessica reside in rural Hastings and have four sons.
