ISD 200 has released an update on school bonding projects that are being funded by a $49.5 million bond approved by voters in 2017. According to information provided by the District, 6 roofs have been partially or fully replaced, 32 ventilation systems installed, 5 complete HVAC systems, 7 parking lots repaired, exterior lighting installed at 54 locations, and synthetic turf installed on Todd Field. The report also states that due to interest earned on the bonds, there are an additional $7 million in projects that will be completed without affecting taxpayers’ levy rates. Projects on the slate are at the High School, Middle School, Kennedy, McAuliffe, and Pinecrest Elementaries, and the Tilden Community Center. For more details visit the District website.
