UWH Receives Donation From Treasure Island

Treasure Island Resort & Casino has donated to United Way of Hastings as the casino’s charity partner of the month. A total of $15,000 has been raised by casino guests donating unclaimed slot tickets along with a matching donation by Treasure Island Resort & Casino. United Way of Hastings was the recipient of $7,500 and the United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha, & Pierce Counties received $7,500. Executive Director of United Way of Hastings, Mari Mellick stated that with the donation United Way of Hastings will be able to continue its weekend meal pack program for students, help teens develop healthy webs of support, and advance educational efforts to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal fentanyl in our community. UWH is an independent United Way that has worked for nearly 60 years serving Hastings and the surrounding rural communities within Independent School District #200.
