The Hastings Police Department filed reports for incidents from March 3 thru March 10.
On March 3 at 7:19 p.m. officers responded to a report of an unoccupied vehicle that was damaged while parked on the street in the 60 block of Meggan Drive. No other information was provided.
On March 4 at 8:07 a.m. officers responded to the 800 block of General Sieben Drive for a report of a theft. 37-year-old Ashley Rachel Haugstad of Newport was cited for misdemeanor theft.
On March 4 at 11:17 a.m. officers received an after the fact hit and run in the 1700 block of North Frontage Road. There are no suspects at this time.
On March 4 at 12:52 p.m. officers took a hit an run report in the same area, filing a report that the hit and run could have occurred at multiple locations throughout the city. There are no suspects.
On March 4 at 3:35 p.m. officers arrested 41-year-old Jennifer Marie Dick of Hastings for an active Renville County warrant.
On March 4 at 4:18 p.m. officers responded to General Sieben Drive and North Frontage Road on a report of a single vehicle accident involving a sign. No citations or injuries were reported.
On March 4 at 8:03 p.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of North Frontage Road for a trespassing call. After investigation, one female is to be charged for gross misdemeanor burglary.
On March 5 at 7:10 a.m. officers received a report of fraudulent activity in the 1700 block of South Frontage Road. There are no suspects at this time.
On March 5 at 9:32 a.m. officers began citing vehicle in violation of the snow emergency ordinance. 35 vehicles in total were cited.
On March 5 at 11:05 a.m. officers responded to a crisis call. In the duration of the call, police arrested 44-year-old Natalie Rae Valentine, with no permanent address, for an outstanding warrant and obstruction.
On March 5 at 11:38 a.m. officers responded to a report over the phone related to past action property damage.
On March 5 at 6:54 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Vermillion Street in regards to a suspicious person. One person was trespassed from the business.
On March 6 at 7:20 p.m. officers responded to the intersection of 3rd and Eddy Streets to assist on a traffic crash. No injuries or citations were reported.
On March 6 at 10:16 p.m. officers responded to the 1600 block of Vermillion Street for a theft in progress. 40-year-old Samuel Perez of Saint Paul was arrested for theft.
On March 6 at 11:56 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop near Vermillion Street and 5th Street West. After an investigation, Minneapolis native Jennifer Starken was arrested for felony 5th Degree Drug Possession and Possession of Legend Drugs.
On March 7 at 7:24 a.m. officers responded to the 200 block of General Sieben Drive for a past action damage to property report. There are unknown suspects at this time.
On March 7 at 7:21 p.m. officers assisted the Cannon Falls Police Department on a DWI investigation in the 900 block of River Road.
On March 8 at 9:46 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Vermillion Street. The driver, Chase Cody Stewart, 43-year-old from Bismarck, North Dakota, was arrested for a warrant.
On March 8 at 11:09 a.m. officers responded to Lyn Way for a report of a theft.
On March 9 at 12:18 a.m. officers initiated a traffic stop on 36th Street West and Frederick Circle. 39-year-old Holly Trautmann of Hastings was arrested for DWI.
