According to a report from the Owatonna People’s Press, Hastings Schools Superintendent Tammy Champa is one of five semifinalists for that district’s soon to be vacated superintendent position. Champa is scheduled to interview for the position this week, according to the article. As a semifinalist, it does not mean Champa will be hired for the position, but she is certainly being considered. The current Owatonna superintendent is set to retire June 30 from the position.
