The Prescott School District has announced its three finalists for district superintendent after conducting interviews last week.
Nicholas Been is the current principal at Unity High School. He has previous experience at Saint Croix Central High School as Dean of Students and previously as assistant principal of academics at River Falls High School. He has a Masters of Arts from Viterbo University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Health Education and Coaching from UWRF.
James Reif holds a superintendent education specialist degree from UW Superior, a Masters in Education from UT Arlington and from National University in Chicago, and a bachelor of science from Michigan Tech with an emphasis in biology. He currently serves as the superintendent of the New Auburn School District and has numerous experience as a school principal across Wisconsin.
Dr. Timothy Schigur holds a Doctorate in Leadership from Edgewood College, a Master of Science from Cardinal Strich University and is currently the director of education at Diamond Assets.
All three candidates will spend a day in the district on March 26, which includes a tour of all four schools, meetings with district administation, staff and students. The community is then invited to ameet and greet with each candidate individually starting at 6 p.m. in the high school library. Final interviews will be completed on March 27 with mid-April the timeframe to select a superintendent with a July 1 start date.
