Hwy 316 Project: Cones Go Up

The planned repave of Highway 316 has slowly begun with cones and construction equipment getting into place for the relocation of utilities.

MNDOT is providing the information about a planned repave of Highway 316 from Hastings to Welch. According to the project notes, the repave, which will start in May, will take place on Highway 316 between Tuttle Drive and just north of the Highway 61 junction. In addition, the project will add turn lanes in Ravenna Township, at Oxley Avenue, Bauer Circle and Pine Ridge Road. Drainage is also expected to be addressed on the north side of the project, with the improvements set to create a smoother travel experience. The project is expected to start in May and complete in October. The MNDOT has a link to sign up for email updates.

Several motorists have reported to KDWA that the cones are creating a sight line issue for motorists. We will look into this report and have more.
