From a Pierce County Sheriff’s Office media release, on Tuesday March 31st, 2026 at approximately 4:03 pm, the
Pierce County Emergency Communications Center was notified of a two-vehicle accident with injuries on US Hwy 10 near 810th St in Trimbelle Township, Wisconsin.
According to the media release, it was determined a 2024 Chevy Equinox operated by Bruce Rix, 57 years old of Stillwater, MN was traveling westbound on US Highway 10 when he was struck by a 2015 Dodge Charger operated by Porter Thomas, 68 years old of Menomonie, WI who was also traveling westbound on US Highway 10.
Mr. Porter had a passenger in his vehicle, Cheryl Lawson, 44 years old of Maryville, TN who was transported by Ellsworth Ambulance to the River Falls Area Hospital with undetermined injuries.
Mr. Thomas, Mr. Rix and Mr. Porter were uninjured in the accident.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Ellsworth Fire and EMS and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
