From the City of Hastings, a Central Water Treatment Plant Raw Watermain Project Construction
Update.
During the week of March 30 – April 3,
The crew completed the drilling and pipe installation of the first section of watermain on the north side of North Frontage Road, stretching from Westview Drive to Lions Park.
According to the City’s update, scheduled for the week of April 6:
You will see the drill rig at the intersection of State Street and 7th Street. This drilling will be for the final segment of the watermain, which extends from State Street to Lions Park.
North Frontage Road will be closed to thru traffic west of the intersection of North Frontage Road and Westview Drive to connect the watermain across North Frontage Road. For resident and business access throughout the closure, a detour is established, directing traffic to Pleasant Drive. The anticipated reopening of North Frontage Road to thru traffic is tentatively set for Wednesday, April 8.
