Grow Something Great: Support Student Education at the Hastings High School Plant Sale

With summer approaching, now is the perfect time to add some greenery to your home and garden. The Hastings High School plant sale is now in full swing. High school horticulture instructor John Dewall shares details about the plant sale.

“Yeah, this is John Dewall from Hastings Senior High School Horticulture Department. Just wanting to let everybody in the community know that we have hundreds of hanging baskets, absolutely beautiful baskets, and floor planters, lots of tomatoes, and packs. We have hundreds of geraniums, and all these plants are available today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Obviously, big Memorial Day weekend, supposed to be gorgeous weather. We’re also going to run it next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Easiest way to get to our greenhouse is if you are coming going west up Featherstone, and you go past the north side of the high school, and you’ll enter through the road marked deliveries, which is a left. You’re actually going to be on the left side of the school, in front of the tracks and the fields, and the greenhouse will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and tomorrow and also next week, Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and I’d love to see everybody up at the greenhouse. So, thanks so much.”

The proceeds from this sale go right back into the program to help educate our students.
