Hastings High School has made an announcement regarding the graduation ceremony tonight. Read the full statement below:
We have made the decision to hold the graduation ceremony inside at Hastings High School this evening at 7pm. The current National Weather Service forecast calls for a chance for rain throughout the afternoon and evening that includes the potential for lightning. Given the potential impact on our sound system, HCTV streaming services, band instruments, and guests, we are unable to ensure that this event could be conducted at the level of quality and excellence our community has come to expect from this long-standing tradition.
For those joining us this evening, here are a few things to keep in mind:
The high school will be open to guests at 5:30pm and no tickets are required
Both main entrances to the high school will be open. There will be access to elevators as needed.
We will also have overflow seating available for guests in the auditorium. Our graduates will be staging in this area prior to 7pm and those seats will become available shortly before the ceremony begins.
Thank you and we’re looking forward to celebrating with you this evening!
