On Tuesday, March 3rd, there was the 7th grade and 8th grade choir concert at the Hastings Middle
School auditorium. Cheryl Borgen, Hastings Middle School choir director, has instructed the students of Hastings for 16 years.
The Concert took place in three portions: the boys choir, Spiral Singers, and the 8th grade girls choir.
The boys choir had the audience smiling, as they not only showcased vocal talent but also their kazoo talent. Director Borgen shares about the boys choir rehearsals prior to the concert.
Spiral Singers, a blended choir of boys and girls, took to the stage after the boys choir, and Director Borgen explains what is unique about this group.
And there is a special treat the middle school Spiral Singers receive for showing up at 7am on Tuesday mornings.
