During the July 16 open house on the proposed Wellhouse No. 9, representatives from
WSB, Oertel Architects, and the City of Hastings provided attendees with information about the project and answered questions.
The meeting focused on the City’s proposal to construct the new municipal wellhouse in Wallin Park, with many attendees asking questions about project details and expressing concerns about safety if the wellhouse is established within the park.
Following the open house, KDWA spoke with Public Works Director Ryan Stempski to address several of the questions raised by residents and provide additional context about the proposal, the site’s selection, and the City’s next steps regarding the open house feedback.
