On March 11, 2026, at 6pm, there is a Hastings School Board meeting. Chairperson Carrie Tate offers a
preview of the meeting.
“Tonight, Wednesday, March 11, we have a school board meeting at 6pm in the middle school media center. First, we’ll be starting off with a special meeting where the board will vote on adding a professional development day for early childhood staff on this coming March 13. Then we will follow with our work session, and we’ll kick it off with our principal reports, which show us academic progress, statistics on discipline, and all the fun things going on in our buildings. Then we’ll talk about two new curriculum proposals, which include eighth-grade world geography and a new high school class called The History of Sport. The links to the curriculum were sent to parents in Sunday’s Raider Update. If you’d like to provide input on that, then we will be getting a staffing process overview from human resources. Occasionally we have our administrative staff do kind of one-on-one classes for both the school board and the public’s knowledge. And the other highlight I’d like to point out is that we will be going through our 2026-27 budget assumptions.”
The school board meeting agenda can be found at the ISD 200 website.
