The Rosemount Irish baseball team capped off an incredible 2025-2026 school year for Rosemount High School with a 4-1 victory over Champlin Park in the AAAA state baseball title game on Monday evening at Target Field. Champlin Park took an early 1-0 lead over the Irish in the second inning, but they would answer in the top of the third as Oliver Anderson hit a double to score Bennett Simmerin followed by a Jackson Agee double to right center to score Anderson to lead 2-1. The score held until the sixth inning when Rosemount added insurance when a pickoff play error allowed runners to advance and Benjamin Lillemoen hit a sacrifice fly to score Jack Japel from third base. Rosemount scored a second run in the inning when Callan Ronay also hit a sac fly, and Colin Blume scored. Evan Boll got the win on the mound for Rosemount, and Jake Michel earned the two-inning save. Agee led the offense with a 2-4 day at the plate, while Blume and Anderson each drove in two runs.
Rosemount ends their season outscoring opponents in the state tournament 26-4 in their dominating run.
