It was a tough day at the ballpark for the shorthanded Miesville Mudhens as their winning streak of over a month long came to an end at Red Wing on Saturday, falling 6-0 as heard live on KDWA.
The Mudhens only had 10 players available due to the holiday weekend, as Red Wing plated a run in the first, two more in the third, another in the seventh, and two more in the eighth for insurance as Miesville only managed six hits on the day stranding the bases loaded in the second inning but not mustering much offensive chances other than that the rest of the way. No one had more than one hit on the Mudhens offensive side, while Brody Illa took the tough luck loss on the mound going five innings giving up three runs striking out five. Miesville is now 13-3 on the season, and will travel to Owatonna on Wednesday.
