A single vehicle accident ended with a fatality last week.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, May 31st, 2026, at approximately 9:46 p.m., the Pierce County Emergency Communications Center was notified of a single-vehicle accident with injury on State Road 29 near 1250th Street in Oak Grove Township.
It was determined a 2022 Dodge Durango operated by Jesse Hageman, 43 years old, of River Falls, WI, was traveling westbound on State Road 29 when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
The vehicle started on fire, and when the fire was extinguished, he was discovered inside the vehicle.
Mr. Hageman was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Pierce County Medical Examiner.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Prescott Police Department, Prescott Fire Department, and Allina EMS.
