A media release from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office:
On Wednesday April 22, at approximately 6:13 p.m., the Pierce County Emergency Communications Center was notified of a two-vehicle motorcycle accident with injuries on State Road 35 near 1050th Street in Oak Grove Township.
It was determined a 2021 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Tamitha Thein, 47 years old of Maplewood, MN was traveling northbound on State Road 35 when she collided with a 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Evan Jorgenson, 26 years old of Cottage Grove, MN who was traveling southbound on State Road 35.
Ms. Thein was transported by Allina EMS to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN with undetermined injuries and later passed away. Mr. Jorgenson was transported to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN with undetermined injuries and passed away the following day.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Prescott Police Department, Prescott Fire Department, Allina EMS, Ellsworth EMS and Life Link Air Care.
