Verdict Reached in South St. Paul Murder Trial

A verdict has been reached in a 2025 South St. Paul murder case. Following a 12-day trial in Dakota County District Court, Judge Richelle Wahi acquitted Terrell Anthony Ranzy of second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges. However, Ranzy was found guilty of illegal possession of a firearm due to a prior Ramsey County conviction for threats of violence. He remains in custody at the Dakota County Jail ahead of sentencing set for July 15 in Hastings. A second defendant in the case, Keith Woodson Cox Junior, is scheduled for an omnibus hearing May 27.
