It didn’t matter if the game was played in Rochester, Hastings, or the North Pole, because the Hastings Raiders Girls Basketball Team was NOT going to lose on Wednesday night, in the Section 1AAAA Quarterfinals. After feeling a bit disrespected when the seeds came out, the #5 Raiders (22-5 Overall) trailed #4 Rochester Century (18-9 Overall) 41-27 early in the second half, but stormed back to show their true colors late, winning by nine, 76-67, sending them back to Rochester for the Section 1AAAA Semifinals against 26-1 Rochester John Marshall, Saturday on KDWA at 6:30pm. Senior Hanna Norman led the Raiders with a season-high 31 points, while Freshman Krystal Carlson had 25, in the first-round victory.
