Driver Endangers Kids In High Speed Run

From the Dakota County Sheriff’s office comes more information on a vehicle pursuit that took place Wednesday night. Another departmet decided to terminate the pursuit after learning the driver had 2 small children in the vehicle as well. When the driver then entered Dakota County, at over 100 mph, their deputies were aware of the child and did not initiate a pursuit. The resolution was the vehicle involved then traveled into a field where it became stuck. The driver was then seen fleeing the vehicle alone in bare feet where that person was then arrested . Once in custody, the driver admitted to being under the influence of methamphetamine and was aware they were being sought in connection with an active Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrent. Deputies involved also provided care for the children following the incident.
