THRIVE in Hastings has announced that 19 community leaders have stepped up to begin the Equity Leadership Institute training led by the YMCA Center for Equity and Impact Lives, Inc. This group includes committed leaders from the school district, Chamber of Commerce, Community Ed, City of Hastings, Dakota County, Allina, and the YMCA of Hastings. The leadership institute seeks to provide transformative learning experiences that can help create culturally competent leaders who are committed to working on organizational equity and inclusivity. This is the first cohort from Hastings, and THRIVE hopes to send more leaders through in the future.
