According to the Press Release sent out from Hastings Police Chief, Bryan Schafer: “On Sunday, June 23, 2014 at 9:56 p.m., Hastings Police responded to a call of shots fired in the1200 block of Eddy Street. When officers arrived, a white male in his 30’s was found dead in the yard from an apparent gunshot wound. No one else was injured at the time and is believed to be an isolated incident. The MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Hennepin County Medical Examiner, and the Dakota County and Washington County Sheriff’s Offices are assisting. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of relatives and release by the Medical Examiner.
